Leafcutter Dandelion & Marigold Leaf Mix - Dried (50g)
The Dandelion & Marigold leaf mix is an excellent source of foliage for your growing leafcutter ant colony. We find these to be a firm favourite amongst young colonies as well as larger established ones too! It is quite fascinating to see how these affect the colour of the fungus itself too.
This dried mix becomes extremely handy during the winter months when sourcing fresh leaves and flowers becomes quite a daunting task, especially in the UK.
It is recommended to offer your leafcutter ants a variety of plants to ensure that they are able to thrive properly. In most cases, colonies will prefer fresh leaves over dried alternatives but we find that a combination of the both ensures that the colonies do not become as 'bored' or picky over one single source.
One can be assured that these natural, organic & free of pesticides petals will help your colony thrive.

Storage: Room temperature, dry & out of direct sunlight
Serving suggestion (for tub sizes which include complimentary scoop):
- Small colony (20-50 workers): 1 scoop every three days with fresh leaves
- Medium colony (60-150+ workers): 2 scoops every three days with fresh leaves
